Drinking Water- Sampling Procedure
Chemical Analysis – 1Litre bottle
First rinse the bottle with same water for two to three times.
Collect the sample to the neck of the bottle without air bubbles
Note down the date, time ,weather condition and the parameters to be tested.
Deliver the sample on the same day (within 24 hours ) in a container with Ice.

Microbilogy Analysis- Sampling procedure
Collect a Steralised bottle from the ELCS laboratory.
Do not rinse the bottle. If you collect the sample from a tap clean the tap head with ethanol or if
the tap head is mettle heat up with a flame.Allow the water to flow for few minutes.
Collect the sample without air bubbles up to the neck of the bottle leaving a small air space. Close
the stopper quickly .
Note down the date, time ,weather condition and the parameters to be tested.
Deliver the sample on the same day (within 24 hours ) in a container with Ice.

Treated Wastewater Analysis – Sampling Procedure

Deliver the sample on the same day (within 24 hours ) in a container with Ice.
If Oil & Grease to be tested collect the sample in 1Litre wide mouth glass bottle in addition to the
sample already collected.
